Go to menu top I never heard anything better than a Fender if we’re talking about the big manufacturers. Later on, in the Guitar section, I’ll also talk about Standel and EchoSonic , but they’re produced in such small numbers that it’s fair to say they’ll only have historic interest to the most of us So As long as you get a tube Fender you’ll probably be on the right track, because they all sound pretty good. It doesn’t have to be vintage at all, but they do look pretty cool. Actually I started out playing a vintage Vox AC 30 and it wasn’t bad at all. The sound was very ‘tube’ and that’s what you’re looking for, but Fender is still the better choice for Rockabilly.

How often is the site updated? Most sections of the site, such as the list of songs she’s released or the awards page, are updated only when something new comes along, such as a new recording being released or a new award presented. The most frequently updated part is the news page. I do my “Dolly search” every day unless I’m out of town, and during the week I usually update it that same day if I come across a newsworthy piece of information.

Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings trilogy. To their surprise, the album sold several thousand units via the Internet, The QVC Shop-At-Home Network and phone orders, leaving Babb and Schendel convinced that the band was a project worth continuing.
While many musicians have appeared on Glass Hammer albums over the years, Babb and Schendel have remained the core of the band.

This is one of the most frustrating questions from the MIJ collector. People often make the mistake of citing the American or European importer as the ‘maker’ of the guitar, when in fact several Japanese manufacturers were producing badged guitars out of their plants and shipping them to America and Europe to sell. Japanese manufacturers made multiple badges at the same plant, many of whom resemble each other closely. Some manufacturers merged or changed hands over the years which added to the confusion, sometime merging with another maker, only to pick up their name later.
In some cases a manufacturer would farm out production to various manufacturers, making it still more difficult to know who made the guitar in your hands. Parts from other guitars would be used in the making of a particular badge for a period of time because it was all the manufacturer had to hand And sometimes, the guitar which is supposed to be an MIJ guitar is actually made elsewhere Korea, Indonesia because production was moved during this period in history.
This page is a work in progress and as new information is revealed it will be added to the list. But I can’t do this alone, folks. See a guitar not listed? In some cases I won’t know because the badge you have may be extremely rare and virtually unknown to even seasoned collectors. And just a quick note: I do not buy or sell guitars.

Train leaving south from Bambalapitiya Train leaving south from Bambalapitiya Galle Road, Bambalapitiya Colombo-4 View Larger Map of Bambalapitiya Bambalapitiya, affectionately known to all its residents, and even those living within the other zones of Colombo, as “Bamba” is a small town located on both sides of the Galle Road between Colpetty Colombo 3 on the North and Wellawatte Colombo 6 on the South, spanning about one and a half kilometers of the Galle Road.

I hope you will enjoy them. For comments or ideas, please email me at hank gotocarguys. It is a John Bean auto alignment cabinet. This cabinet was used in a Ford garage in Chicago from till I bought it from a collector in Terre Haute, Indiana. We of coarse adapted it to the Edsel theme of our museum. It’s a whopping 20 foot long 6 foot high and difficult to move around. We had lots of help getting it brought back to life.
Tim Musselman did the wiring and lights. Vasil printing did some vinyl lettering and the advertising glass, and then Dan Raley put on the finishing touches with some magical pin stripping and dated the two biggest Edsel events. Thanks also, to my buddy Mike Fagan with help moving this thing around too.
